HOURS: Monday-Thursday: 9am-8pm / Friday-Saturday: 10am-6pm / Sunday: 1-5pm (Closed Sundays June-August)
We like how large and spacious this library is! We also appreciate that the children's play area is tucked in the back corner on the first floor away from the rest of the library so we didn’t have to worry about the noise level as much. It also made it easier to keep an eye on the littles & keep them from wandering off.
🍎🏬 They had quite a few toys for the kiddos but my son’s absolute favorite was the super market check out station. He pretty much spent the whole time we were there, behind the cash register, organizing his inventory & ringing up the groceries.
🥣🚂 They also had a few classics, like a play kitchen and a train set/table. As well as a cute clothes rack for playing dress up. We tried our hand at checkers but my 2.5 year old son is definitely still a little too young for them.
🤱🏻 One nice feature they did have in their children’s area was a “Privacy Suite” for nursing or pumping. I’ve seen these areas before but never a portable unit like this. Pretty awesome they provide this for breast feeding mama’s who might not be comfortable nursing in public.
Be sure to check out the Lorain library with your kiddos sometimes soon. (Perfect for a cold or rainy day) With so many great shops, restaurants, & local businesses on the Broadway strip, you can easily make a day out it, especially in the warmer months with Black River Landing right there and Lakeview Park just up the road 😍
